INDIAN FEATHER GOALS
The Indian Feather Goals were carefully devised by the coaching staff to emphasize the type of effort we are looking for day in and day out, and of course under the Friday Night Lights. On the Oskaloosa Indian Helmet, our main logo (the Indian), symbolizes the team. THIS is the single most important part of all. On the Indian logo is a headdress comprised of individual feathers. These feathers symbolize the individual effort of each player during the course of the season. Together they collectively give to the greater cause, the headdress and OUR TEAM. Never forget and/or lose sight of the big picture and give as much of yourself as humanly possible for the greater cause. How many feathers will you contribute this season?
The Greatest of them all....
The greatest of the Indian Feather Awards are the EXCEPTIONAL EFFORT plays. These plays will define you and your team this upcoming season and will be given sparingly. These are highlight reel plays that will be talked about for years to come. The type of plays that young Indians will imitate on the playground and dream about having under the Friday Night Lights. What exceptional effort can you give to your team this season?

FIGHTING INDIAN AWARD
The Fighting Indian Award is given annually (in some cases) to individuals who recieved 100 Indian Feathers or more. This is an extremely difficult goal to achieve but it is possible. True Fighting Indians must display the following characteristics; 100% effort, relentlessness, extreme toughness, being coachable at all times, a positive attitude, a sprit that cannot be broken, & much more... Do you have what it takes??
